M01 is a sustainable approach for modular urban lighting. It is based on the simplicity and reduction of the archetypal urban luminaire. By employing a clear design language through the utilization of standardized and reusable materials such as steel pipes from traffic poles or street signs, a geometric, yet dynamic aesthetic is created. The design focuses on minimizing the use of material and on a seamless integration into any urban setting. The angles of the bent pipes play a crucial role in the design. They not only serve to direct the light and minimize light pollution, but also show a visual, graphic representation of the lights direction.

The modular system, made from recycled sign-posts, allows various lighting scenarios to be created, catering to the diverse needs of the cityscape. The flexibility of this solution allows for the creation of high park lighting, low-level path lighting, and adjustable indirect facade lighting.

This urban lighting system provides a visually consistent and cohesive aesthetic, through which a sense of unity in the cityscape is established and urban materials find a second life by being brought back to the cycle.
